Foundations laid

The foundations of the tradition are started.

Hello and welcome to my site. I've been able to start getting some pages built to give a background on what this site is, my beliefs and the structure of my personal devotions. A page for prayers and recommended reading will be added next.

The blog will serve as discussions on personal devotions, the festivals of the year, seasonal meditations, and more. I will do my best to post ahead of festival dates.

Since I understand many may have not heard of what I am speaking of, if you are unfamiliar with Madrianism or Filianism, please check this site for a quick primer. It is a very small religion, one that has unfortunately suffered schisms and bad press (honestly, some warranted). Since it has had some ill reputation, I strive to get to the basic essence of the faith and separate from the groups that delved into what caused schisms and disruption. This is why I call myself a Reformed Madrian as a matter of preference. In talking with others, it is often easier to say I am an Independent Filianist; this is the most well known nomenclature, but I am hopeful I can find others who are in my similar boat and we can work together.

I am used to working spiritually on my own, but I know that this can be burdensome and a lonely path. So, I've elected to put myself out there on the off chance I can help others.  Raised Catholic Christian, studied Buddhism and various world religions, and considered myself a solitary Wiccan for several years, I have found a way that works best for myself and have grown in my spiritual practice. I do not want to proselytize, merely be present in case this resonates for anyone else.
